General OUGA Questions
| What is OUGA? | See our about page. |
| But I thought OUGA meant something else? | At one time it also meant Ohio University Gaming Academy. There is still debate on whether the name should have Ohio University in it, but some of our members do not attend this school. |
| Where is OUGA? | Most of us are at Ohio University which is in Athens Ohio. |
| How to you get to OUGA? | You want Van Vorhes Street right in front of Morton Hall. Here is the Google Maps link. |
| Where can I park? I don't want to be towed... | The large parking lot in front of Morton Hall is free after 5 pm during the week (including Friday). It is also free during the whole weekend, unless their is a special event (in which case we would let you know where you can and can't go). |
| When is OUGA? | As said in the about page, every Firday 8 pm. Sometimes Mid-week practices happen to train for upcoming tournaments |
| Do you only play Smash Bros.? | No. While we feel that Smash is the best 4 player game to accomendate more than 4 people (one one system), many of us play games together such as World of Warcraft, Team Fortress 2, other Fighting games, and pretty much every Wii game. We are also willing to play other games if people bring them in. |
| Why play Brawl over Melee? Melee is much better! | While Melee is faster and a bit more technical, we feel that it is time to move on. OUGA started around the same time Melee came out. We believe that Brawl is just generally more fun and the features are overall better. |
| Why so many Falcons? | FALCON.... |
| Seriously... why? | PUNCH!!!!!! We just find him to be great character in general. He also has the best poses out of any character. |

Registeration Questions
| How can I sign up for a Tournament? | It's Easy! Just go here and click the Register Now text. |
| How can I check to see who has already signed up? | Just check our Preregistration List. We aslo have a more detailed one that is less pleasing to the eyes but has more info. |
| Why do you want a group name? | In order to best seed people so that they don't have to play their friends, we ask that you and your friends pick a group name. We use this name as your location when we make the bracket. |
| Why do you need our button map out? | To make things run much more smoothly, we will put the names and button maps of everyone who might be attending. That way people don't have to waste tournament timesetting up their custom controls. |
| I'm new to this game, what are the default controls? | If you are asking that question, then you don't need to wory about it! |
| Wait... What is the difference between Up-tap On and Off? And which is the Default? |
The default is Up-tap On. This means when you tap Up, you WILL jump. Where as Up-Tap Off mean tapping up does nothing to your movement (except when DIing). |
| Sometimes when I hit Submit, I get a sceen with a bunch of Text. What happened? | This form is very very basic. As of now it doesn't display well when 2 people are trying to register at the same time. If this happens, just click refresh and resend your info. |

This message means that you are trying to register a Smash name that someone else already has. We want this feature because the Wiis can't accept 2 names that are the same. If you get this message, pick a different smash name. |
| But the Smash Name I put in is the one I really want to use! | This is not a question. However you can find out who has your smash name by looking at the Preregistration List. Then you can let us know which person that is and maybe we can come up with a solution. |

| What is Super Smash Brothers? | Super Smash Brothers is a triology of games dating back to the N64 era. The game consists of nintendo characters battling out to the bitter end. Gamers constantly dreamed of such match ups as Link vs Samus and recently Mario vs Sonic. |
| I'm not that good at this game. How can I get better? | As with any game, one needs to do 2 things. 1. Play the game a lot. Gain personal experience. 2. Learn about the game. The best place to go for begginners info is here: The Smash Bros. Brawl Home Page. This has basic info over Characters, Stages, Abilities, Items, and Secrets. After you master the basics, join the Smash Boards Community. People gather here to discuss everything from which are the fairest stages to how much damage will Kirby's A attack do. |
| I see abbrivations such as f-a, b-aeirial, etc. | These abbrivations stand for what attacks you use Here are some listed below: A : A button (obvious) f-tilt : Hit A while tilting the control stick n-a : Neutral A, hit A without moving the control stick b- aerial/Bair : Back Aerial. Hit A while in the air with the control stick moving in the opposite direction your character is facing. |
